With the holiday season approaching fast around the corner, it begs the question we have every year: What do people want for the holidays? Every year, the trends and fluctuations in what people want for the holiday season vary greatly, and it’s hard for loved ones to guess what they will be gifting for the year as new things emerge and gain popularity almost every day. That said, What do the students of SHS want for the holidays this year?
Giovanni Stassi (11)
“I’m not really asking for anything. I guess if anyone wants to give me anything, it’s just money that you put towards college.–I was thinking about [going to] UW Platteville or Northern Michigan Tech. [For] mechanical engineering.”
Sam Thiessen (10)
“Probably a soccer jersey, or something like a Ronaldo jersey.”
Emma Twedt (12)
“I want to visit my family more than anything, I haven’t seen them in a while. I don’t really think about gifts as much.”
Aubrie Hubert (10)
“Rats, because I love rats. There’s no other reason; my snake died in June. So I need new pets. I want to name one of them Bean because, why not?”
Jes Tomaszewski (Family and Consumer Sciences – 9-12)
“Typically, I’m one of those people that I like to give to other things, so for the holidays, I just hope that we can see a bunch of people step up this year and help everybody out. We [Tomaszewski] have done Host a Family, getting the Giving Trees, Stuff the Box, we help for Thanksgiving, we’ve handed out meals at churches before, all those different types of things.”
Erika Meyer (Orchestra Director)
“I would like health for my family. I have a husband, two kids, a dog, (and) It’s been a tough ride with my family this year. We like to play a lot of board games and card games. We’ll spend New Year’s Eve playing games until midnight.”
